What CONTOUR is, and isn’t

CONTOUR is an educational reference. It measures facial symmetry with your camera and maps facial zones to the classes of aesthetic-medicine products commonly discussed for them.

• It is not medical advice and not a medical device. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or determine dosing.
• Only a licensed provider who examines you can decide whether any procedure or product is right for you.
• Scores are measurements taken under the conditions of your scan (lighting, pose, camera) and can differ between scans.
• The demonstration mode is a simulation. Its results are not measurements of anyone.
• The facial-age estimate is experimental: a range, shown only if you ask, with no claim of accuracy.

Your account

• You must be 18 or over to create an account.
• One account per person. Give a real email address you control, and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Scan only your own face.

Free scan and scan credits

• Each account includes one free live scan. Its results are shown but not saved, and zone information stays locked.
• A scan credit unlocks your next live scan: every zone’s information opens, and you can save the result to your account. The price is shown before you pay, and payment is taken by Stripe on its checkout page.
• Credits do not expire. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
• Refunds: write to privacy@thecontourapp.com to get a refund for credits you have not used. Credits already used are not refundable, except where the law requires.
• Deleting your account removes any unused credits with it. Ask for your refund before you delete your account.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse CONTOUR. In particular, don’t:

• scan another person, or use CONTOUR on anyone’s behalf
• try to get scans or credits without paying, or interfere with how credits work
• access CONTOUR by automated means, overload it, or probe or break its security
• copy, resell or redistribute CONTOUR or its content

Our content

CONTOUR, its software and its content belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use CONTOUR for your own non-commercial purposes under these terms. Your saved scan results are yours: you can print them, take them to a provider of your choosing, or delete them.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or stop any part of CONTOUR. If we stop offering scans while you have unused credits, we refund them. When these terms change, we update the date at the top; if a change is material, we ask you to accept the new version before you continue.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; if we close it without a breach on your part, we refund your unused credits.

Disclaimers

CONTOUR is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that it is accurate, uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any decision you make about a procedure or product. Our total liability for any claim relating to CONTOUR is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
